GFX <> NEW FOCUS

The GFX is not the new C1-generation Focus model available in Europe since 2005 (although the actual rally car used in the GFX advertising campaign is European). The GFX is based on the current platform introduced back in 2000. It's also only available in certain colours. The powertrain is the same as a non-GFX looking Focus. Aside from that, the body appearance upgrades on the GFX make it well worth the price.

Special Editions: MK-I.5 (2005 to 2007)

As the Focus continued to gain in popularity, Ford offered special edition Focii to the Canadian public so owners continude to stand out from the rest of the motoring public.

GFX Package

You've seen the ads on TV and in the papers. A cloud of dust rushing through an urban centre as a Focus rally car tears through a rally course. In the end, an Aqua Blue ZX3 appears coming out of a drift.

The GFX package includes these features:

  • Unique color keyed front fascia with fog lamps
  • Side marker lamps
  • Integrated mold-in-black grille and lower air deflector
  • Unique colour keyed rear fascia with black diffuser insert
  • Unique color keyed "rally style" rear decklid spoiler (ZX4)
  • Unique high-mount rear wing spoiler (ZX3/ZX5); and
  • Bright exhaust tip
The GFX package is available on the SE ZX3 hatchback and ZX4 sedan. The package is available on the SES ZX5 hatchback. Other limitations include the colours of your GFX Focus: CD Silver, Aqua Blue, Liquid Grey, Vermillion, Screaming Yellow and Pitch Black).

The GFX appearance package is also standard on the top-of-the-line ST model.

If you were unlucky enough to have bought a Focus without the GFX package, you can easily build your own GFX Focus using the various bodykit pieces available in the Ford Accessories catalog. Just be warned that doing so may be very expensive. So, it's well advised that you get the GFX package when you purchase your Focus.
